Planning Application Submitted 

The application for the mixed-use redevelopment of Lewisham Retail Park has now been submitted to Lewisham Council.

Legal & General Property owns Lewisham Retail Park and are in discussions with the owners of 66-76 Loampit Vale. This site is occupied by four retail tenants, Matalan, Mothercare, Sports Direct and Family Bargains as well as a car park area and service delivery yard.

Legal & General Property has appointed award-winning architects, Assael to design proposals for a high-quality mixed-use development that will contribute to the vitality and regeneration of Lewisham.

Throughout the planning process, there will be regular opportunities for the local community to input and feedback their views on the initial proposals to Legal & General Property.

A first exhibition, outlining the initial development proposals, was held on Thursday 3rd March and Saturday 5th March 2016.

Proposals

The initial proposals are:

  • Mix of approximately 525 homes across seven buildings

  • Range of car parking spaces for commercial tenants and residents

  • Self contained houses along Thurston Road frontage

  • Public realm improvements

  • Commercial units along Loampit Vale and Jerrard Street frontages

  • Communal garden area

  • A public station square
